The green roof features one of the few solar canopies in Manhattan, motion sensor lights have been installed strategically throughout the building, mirror arrays redirect sunlight to the lower floors, and low-flow showerheads and toilets are in every bathroom. But the heart of The Ecoliving House is our community — and every member is encouraged to adopt sustainable practices outlined at move-in, like participating in our composting and gardening program on the roof. The building itself is a classic Manhattan walk-up that has been completely renovated and furnished to support modern lifestyles, with updated appliances and plenty of open space so you’ll never feel crowded.
