Gina Has a Room for Rent

Hello! My name is Gina, and I’m a 46-year-old single female with no children. I’m looking for a male or female roommate. This is the perfect living situation for the right person, with a vastly discounted $500 monthly rent amount (it would easily go for $1,200 per month)—and utilities are included. My mom and I live together in a 2-story home of about 2,200 square feet with a garage. It is located in East Brainerd about 5 minutes from Hamilton Place Mall and is in a highly desirable and safe location. It’s a very friendly and safe community, with sidewalks throughout the neighborhood for those who walk (I’m trying to make it more of a habit if you want to join me—it’s always easier to remain motivated with a partner). Inside the lower level has a foyer, a very large space where the kitchen, kitchen table, and living room are, a bathroom, a separate dining room, and a Master’s suite with a full bath and jacuzzi you’re welcome to use. The downstairs is fully hardwood. When you go up the L-shaped staircase to the 2nd floor the first room on the left is the largest and would be your room which offers furnishings if desired (my mom sleeps in a smaller room upstairs that she just preferred), and there’s also an extra room that is currently empty or a smaller bedroom that has been used as an entertainment room previously. It could be an upstairs living room, but whatever the case feel free to throw your ideas in. Then there’s a full bath upstairs and a large unfinished room that has been used for storage and as an office. We are planning on finishing it. We have a nice screened-in back porch with a collection of water fountains always making beautiful music and a large level back yard. Also we have one cat who’s about 7 years old and I don’t think he’d do well with other pets FYI (his sister from the same litter passed away earlier this year sadly and she’s the only other animal he was used to so he’s settled into a more independent role now and I don’t think it would be helpful to bring another animal into the same living space for both of their sakes), so I apologize if you have an animal keeping you from choosing this roommate opportunity or if anything else is doing the same.
