Five Bedroom Home in the San Francisco Bay Area (Union City/Fremont) California. I host Female students only. I've hosted for 12 years. Mostly from China but I've had students from Korea, Japan, India, Taiwan, and Germany. I live with my daughter and Chinese American fiancée who speak fluent Mandarin. I rent out two of my rooms. While I mostly host international students I am open to all students and young professionals. Depending on my availability I am open to summer internships and shorter stays. ********* All members of the family have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19. ********* My house is a block away from a bus stop which is 5 minutes from Union City BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). Using BART and the Buses you can make it to most of the colleges and universities in the SF Bay Area. Schools my students have attended include Stanford, UC Berkeley, Ohlone, California State East Bay CSUEB, and UC San Jose State. I have hosted high school students also however since I have to drive them to school, I'm limited to the high schools around my house. Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward and Fremont Christian School are two of the schools I can easily drive to. Send me the name and address of the school you will be attending and I'll let you know if I can dive there. ********* When I was younger my family hosted exchange students. I very much enjoyed getting to know students and their culture. I respect all cultures and like sharing the best of American culture with my host students. I am a software engineer and math tutor and work from home. If the student is interested I like to have family meals every night and often "English Game Night" where we play board games do homework or just practice English skills. I also enjoy "Movie night", two nights a week we watch an American Movie with subtitles and then discuss the plot. I find watching movies is fun and helps with English Skills. ********* Rent varies on what you need. 900 per month for room only (30 a night if you stay over 30 nights) 1500 per month for Room and meals Check with me for High School students. 900 Deposit for all rooms I prefer longer stays but am willing to do weekly if the rooms are not occupied 400 per week (light breakfast and coffee/tea) 800 per week with three meals ********* Please contact me if you have any questions I can also send you additional pictures of my house and family. Deborah Saho Basic rules 1) You must be fully vaccinated (will need a copy of the vaccination card) 2) No overnight male guests. you can have an occasional female overnight guest but check with me first. 3) Clean up after yourself. You can eat in your room but try not to leave open food there. 4) No heater/AC, fridge, microwave, water warmer, or hot plate in your room. 5) Quiet time in the common area from 9 to 7 on weekdays and 10 to 8 on weekends. 6) No Smoking We have two well-behaved cats. We vacuum every other day and have had guests who are allergic to cats stay with us and they have no issues. However, if you're severely allergic to cats this may not be the best fit. I also watch a friend's dogs a few days a week. They are friendly and well-behaved.
