I'm looking for 1-2 roommates for May 20 or earlier (departing roommate is paying for most of May but signing a new lease starting May 6, furniture move-in can start whenever you like), for an updated 1927 rowhouse in NE Washington, DC. I'm in the Carver/Langston neighborhood, on the streetcar line/X2/X9 along H Street to Union Station, or <15-20 minute walk down 19th Street to Stadium-Armory. Private spaces for rent: Bedroom, adjoining office (both get morning sun/eastern exposure), plus full bath with tub, skylight, and original wooden barn door on the second floor. Three rooms, plus full bath (shower), in the finished portion of the basement. Parking pad in the rear alley (no-permit street parking is also plentiful). Common spaces: Living room, large kitchen with dishwasher, garbage disposal, center island, and plentiful cabinet space as well as a free-standing hutch/pantry unit, dining room, back deck, and yards front and back (with a bayscaped pollinator garden, fruit trees, raised bed for veggies, rain barrel, and fire pit!). Storage space in the unfinished (rear) portion of the basement, and washer/dryer. Total rent for everything listed above is $1800; I'm open to negotiation if there is more than one of you interested in sharing/splitting up the spaces described in whatever configuration/rent split would work best for your particular needs, just let me know if you'd like to discuss or have any clarifying questions I can answer! Shared utilities (based on usage except for the fixed monthly internet cost, which will be split equally), are Washington Gas, Pepco (central heat/AC), DC Water, and Astound/RCN; trash, recycling, and compost pickup are free.
