We are actually a young, gay couple (36 & 33 respectively), we've been together for just over 11.5 years, so the chances of some heat-of-the-moment break-up interfering with rent is slim to none. He is employed full-time, and I am a remote student, currently also job hunting, however he is able to meet our listed target rent comfortably on his own. We are respectful roommates, and while we definitely don't mind socializing with the people we share space with, we're just as comfortable sticking to ourselves if that's desired, and we are more than willing and happy to assist with any cleaning or maintenance any shared space requires. We do have 2 cats, they stay in our room with us, except for on occasion and we snap them into harnesses and take them outside on leashes.
Unfortunately, our current situation is untenable, and ultimately unsafe, and so we are eager to find somewhere to go by the end of the month (May).
